Total Foot Care
Chiropody & Reflexology

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the clinic opening times?
A. There are appointment times available throughout the week at times to suit most people. Please see "Clinic Times" for full details of opening times.

Q. How do I make an appointment at Total Foot Care?
A. Simply call 01494 439427 and the receptionist will be happy to book an appointment for you. If you are calling outside clinic hours, please leave a message and someone will return your call at the earliest opportunity.

Q. What happens at my first appointment?
A. Whether it is your first appointment, for Chiropody or Reflexology,
I will need to record your name and address and medical details. Confidentiality is respected at all times. With reflexology it is useful to have in-depth knowledge of past and present health, lifestyle, diet etc and this requires the first session to be longer than subsequent ones. A treatment plan can be discussed at the end of the appointment.

Q. How often should I have my feet done?
A. For most people an interval of between 6 to 8 weeks is usually best for general chiropody, although a treatment plan will be discussed at the first visit. Patients with verrucae will need more frequent appointments. With reflexology a course of up to 5 further weekly treatments usually produces the maximum benefit. Treatment can then be maintained on a regular basis, say once a month or once every 6 weeks.

Q. What are your charges?
A. Please see the Treatments & Prices page for details of treatments, charges and approximate length of appointment.

Q. How do I find Total Foot Care?
A. Total Foot Care is at The Complementary Health Clinic, 191 Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe (please note it is Avenue not Road!). For an interactive map showing satellite views, road maps and directions, upon request, please go to Google Maps and type in 'Total Foot Care High Wycombe'.

Q. Do you accept debit and credit cards at the clinic?
A. Yes, I'm happy to accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.

Q. Can you treat my young child for a verruca?
A. Chiropodists do not always recommend treating verrucae. They are viral infections and can disappear on their own. However, if the verruca is painful, unsightly or causing embarrasment then it would be best for me to at least have a look at your child's foot and discuss possible treatment options.

Q. Do you make home visits?
A. I am mostly clinic based but will visit patients who are genuinely housebound or who have no independant means of getting to the clinic. My non-clinic time is limited and most home visits are made during the day on Mondays.

Q. If I need footcare products, can you supply them?
A. I have a selection of products that I am happy to recommend, these include:
  • Mykored - for fungal nails
  • CCS Cream/CCS Heel Balm - good alround, everyday foot creams
  • Occlusol & TT50 cream - verruca treaments
